For today’s post, I’m taking you back to Den Bosch, in the Netherlands. It is time to complete this trip diary, isn’t it?

A weekend in Den Bosch (NL) – part2
Sunday morning, grey and slightly on the cold side; nothing that would stop us as we were ready to go explore a bit more of Den Bosch before it was time to head home.
We did not have any specific route or must-see sights, however, with the help of Google Maps, we checked what places we haven’t been just yet.
We had found our starting point: De Binnendieze.

I had no idea but apparently, in the early days, the Binnendieze was used for water supply, like a washing and fishing area, as well as a dump.
Something really cool is that from April to October you can actually cruise down the Binnendieze.
It’s something we would like to in the Spring since, during our visit, it was already close.

The Markt square looks particularly empty on a Sunday morning, especially when you would compare it with Saturday; as there was a big market happening here.
But hey, this is way much better for photos! 😊

Where to stay
We wanted a hotel that was as central as possible, comfortable, and good breakfast.
All these requirements, we met at the Best Western Euro Hotel, located right at the market square, as you can see in the picture above.
It wasn’t the cheapest option, however, we loved it! If you are not on a tight budget I totally recommend it.
We did our reservation via Booking.com.

Also at the Markt, you can find the beautiful building of Den Bosch’s City Hall.
This building dates from 1670, according to my research, and is, in fact, a set of three residential houses connected. How cool is that?!
It is possible to book a tour guide and visit the inside of the City Hall.
The Noordbrabants Museum is located inside an 18th-century building along with the Municipal Museum ‘s-Hertogenbosch, making it a nice cultural attraction if you are into visiting Museums.
Personally, I did not visit any exhibition but I liked how the building and the squared looked like.

Where to eat
Well, since our stay was quite short, we kept it simple.
Upon our arrival, we had lunch at the ‘t-Gerucht, close by the train station (mentioned in Den Bosch part 1) and for dinner, we decided to enjoy a fantastic meal at our hotel’s restaurant.
It was so good, but as usual, I do not have photos… Sorry!
For Sunday, we actually just had a very good breakfast and had no need for lunch; that is why I always book a room with breakfast.

When the time came, we started to make our way towards the station where we would be picked up, and after that head home.
To my surprise, Den Bosch had really got my attention and I was even ashamed to have forgotten how beautiful it is; am I starting to get memory loss?!…
Long story short, I truly recommend Den Bosch as a day trip in case you either living in the Netherlands or just simply visiting.
You can easily reach it by train or car, and I’m sure you will not regret it.
I plan on going back during the warmer months!
