10 Christmas Gift Ideas for your travel buddy

10 Christmas Gift Ideas for your travel buddy. Travel Planners, Gadgets, Books, and many more
Hello!!

Christmas is just around the corner (where did 2019 go?!) and these times can be quite stressful for some people when it comes to gifts.
As if it gets harder and harder as time goes by, to find something for those who you care about.
But today, I’m here to help you! Especially, if you are looking for gift ideas for that friend or relative of yours that loves to travel.
Here are my top 10.

10 Christmas Gift Ideas for your travel buddy

1. Travel Planner

Anyone who likes to travel always finds a way to properly organize and plan their trips.
Even though there are many digital options, I still find a paper planner to be the best way to go when it comes to planning, take notes and write down all the ins and outs of a trip.
For that, I totally recommend the Erin Condren Petite Planner Travel Journal.

2. Noise-canceling headphones

There are many options on the market, but in my experience, and if you look at the specs, I totally recommend the Sony WH-1000XM3.
I love mine and use them on several occasions, so it’s totally worth the investment.
I even featured them on my Long Haul Essentials Post.

3. Camera bag

There is a big chance that your travel enthusiast friend is also into photography. More often than not, I think those two subjects come hand in hand. If you like to travel, you like to capture the sights you visit. So, most likely, your friend may already have a camera bag, or if not, this can be a great gift.

Of course, there are many options on the market, but from all I’ve seen, I think the camera bags by Peak Design are an excellent choice.
Great material, design, size selection, stylish, lifetime warranty, and the list goes on.
However, that comes with a price tag, and it’s not that low… Some modules are a bit cheaper than others, so it all depends on your budget or your friend’s needs.

4. Travel Guide Books

I’m old school, and even though I sometimes use Google or Trip Adviser for ideas of places to visit, 9 out of 10 times, I will have a Travel Guide Book with me.

I’m a book kind of person, what can I say?
My favorites are the Lonely Planet Pocket and the Time to Momo

Both available in many languages, it can be a nice little gift to your friend that it is always planning the next adventure.

5. Travel Pillow

Want your friend to have a comfortable trip to his/her next adventure? Well, then probably, a nice pillow can help.
I have this particular one and trust me: it’s really nice! You’ll sleep like a baby and with no sore neck the next day.
I talked about it on my Long Haul Essentials Post as well.

6. SD Card

A small yet very handy gift; anyone will need an extra SD card while on a trip! I know I would… haha

Prices can vary a lot depending on the storage capacity and reading/writing speed.
In my experience, I recommend the Lexar Professional 64GB 150mb/s or even 250mb/s.

7. Memory Card Case

Talking about memory cards, if you are traveling and carrying several cards, it is a good idea to have a case to properly store them and avoid losing your precious photos of your travels, because your SD card went MIA.

8. Packing Cubes

Ever since I found out how helpful packing cubes are, my whole packing experience has improved. And I’m that person who hates to pack/unpack but hates, even more, a messy suitcase.
There are many options on the market, with our without compression ability, particularly handy for those backpacking or who want to carry a lot on a little suitcase.

In all colors and sizes, I totally recommend this as a nice gift.

This is the set I own and I use them in every single travel. Sometimes all of the cubes/pouches, other times just some of them.

9. Suitcase Tag

Raise your hand if you are one those people who always wish they had a suitcase tag but somehow never get one? *raising my hand*
Yep!

There are so many cute ones, and this makes a perfect little inexpensive gift for your travel friend.
