June | A month in review Highlights from the past month. Music, travel, parties and lovely memories!

Hello everyone!!
It’s me, B!
It has been a long while since my last post, I know, but I am so glad to finally be back and having the chance to sit here, and write a blog post.
Believe it or not, I did miss it.

I sometimes wonder if Blogs are still a thing nowadays and if anyone still likes to read them, or are we all into “instant” content, and to be quite honest with, too polished (and artificial) content?!

Well, I guess I will never have the answer, but what I do know is that I like writing and this blog is one of my favorite things to do, whenever time allows.
So yeah, I’m happy to be back!
Even though we already are in the second week of July, I thought it’s nice to share with you some of my personal highlights of June.
This is quite a popular content on Youtube, for example, and it’s something I hardly did here on the Blog. So I thought, not only this would be a good exercise for myself (look back in time and try to see the good things that happened and to be grateful for) but also a way for you to get to know me a bit more.
After all, this still is a personal Blog!

Lenny Kravitz show in Brussels

When this second European tour was announced, I didn’t think twice and bought tickets to the show in Brussels, since it was the only one closer to me. Just a few months later, it was announced that Lenny would be playing at a festival which is just 30min away from I live, whereas Brussels is >1h…
Logistics aside, the show was very nice, this time I was with my mom, Mr.A and a good friend of mine!
The setlist was different than the show in Lisbon I attended last year, and I think this show was somehow slower than then one in Lisbon.
I liked both and would go to another show of his, but so far, my favorite was the show in Lisbon.

A long weekend in Portugal

I have been waiting for this weekend for quite a while; going home always gives me an extra boost and charges my batteries.
This time, fortunately, I had the chance to stay for more than 24h hahaha

Attending a wedding of one of my good friends

This was the main reason why I went to Portugal at the end of June.
A good old friend of mine was going to get married and I made sure I was going to be present on his special day!
I am soooo glad I could make it work, because trust me, until 48h prior boarding, there was a chance I could not go (work…).
But luckily all stars aligned and off I went!
It was such a great party!!! One that I will not forget any time soon!!
Oh, and it was warm… very warm!

Meeting some of my old time friends that I haven’t seen in a long while

The meet up took place during the wedding mentioned above and it was really cool to see familiar faces that, unfortunately, time and different lifestyles & countries, had kept away from me.
Some of them it felt like I saw them just yesterday and others it took a little bit more effort to “break the ice”, but it was equally nice!
My soul was happy once we all got together and had fun like “in the old times”
(I guess I’m starting to sound like an old fart…)
But long story short, I was glad to meet all of them and have the chance to catch up and collect more new memories.
I just sincerely hope we won’t be another 3/4 years (or so) without seeing each other!

Heatwave in the Netherlands

I can’t finish up this post without mention the looooovely warm week we had, here in the Netherlands, that got me wondering where I actually was!
Seriously, the heat was so intense (as you may have heard) that I felt like it was August and I’d be in southern Portugal…
Except I wasn’t and there was no beach for me to go cool down…
The nights were tough to handle, but for me, nothing beats sunny evenings, in good company, flowy dresses and sipping on a tasty cocktail! haha

And that was it for June!
It was a very sunny, warm and filled with emotions kind of month.
Let’s see what July has to offer. *positive thinking*
How was your June?
See you soon!
