Espreitadela

Ora então vamos lá começar isto bem: FÉRIAS!!!! :D

Finalmente...

Porquê as janelas?!

That's all! hahaha :)

Hint #8

This hint number 8, is very special to me!
Such a great coincidence, that I wanted to share as one of the hints.... Now, where am I attending a show of my fellow Porties, Moonspell???

A light at the end of the earth
Was it for this we sold our souls?
Was it for this we missed our chance
Of leaving?

(For) a lie at the end of the earth

Can't wait!!!!! :D :D

Stop!!

It freaks the hell out of me, to spot people staring at me while I'm having lunch...

I mean, it's not my fault that those people eat only a sandwich or a cake or any other junk food as a meal.
Sorry people, I'm slim and eat a regular meal!
Now, stop staring and go get some real food!!!

Hint #7

Where could this be?!... :D

Oh oh oh...

Sunday is almost over and so is the weekend.
I don't know how this happens, but the days/weeks/months are just flying away almost at the speed of light!
Seriously, a few days ago we were celebrating a new year and now... even the Christmas tree is standing in our living room, giving us an extra coziness feeling.
How is this possible?!...

Anyway, this was the Christmas weekend; gifts were bought and wrapped, tree was set (my favorite part!) and another walk through the Christmas Market was also in the program!

bling bling and more bling

A new buddy on our tree :)

Now, just a couple of weeks and then... let the party beginning!! Yahooooo :-D
Would be also cool to have some snow; nothing beats a white Christmas, I must admit.

What are you plans for Christmas?
Over here, I need to start planning the menu which should be a mix of Porty and Dutch delicacies.

A little bit of home

They say, 'Home is where your heart is'... Indeed, but not only.
What about all those places where you left your heart along your journey in this World? That's why, no matter where I might live, Porty-land will always be home, or at least, a little bit of home.

Moving abroad, made me realize how I miss the Portuguese cuisine. I came to the conclusion that we have one of the most diverse, tasty, healthy, colorful cuisine out there! And I'm not expert, but this is just how I see it.
The news that a Portuguese restaurant has been opened in M-town, almost made me jump out of my chair of excitement! I could not wait to go and check it out.
I had really high hopes and expectations but on the other hand, I knew that if something wouldn't be as "it should", I would automatically spot it.

Well, all I can say is that my expectations were fulfilled!!!!
The food was marvelous together with  a cold Portuguese beer, delicious desert and of course, a great espresso!!!!
In the background, there was Fado playing and I found myself actually liking it... Huge surprise, I have to admit.

I totally recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good food.
So, if happen to be in the neighborhood, don't forget to check out Portogatelo.

Movie o'clock

Sunday evening, what to do??
Watch a movie!
No nice movies on tv... all dvds in the wrack we've seen it, the last option was the movie rental form our tv provider. We found this one, on the latest additions:

I don't remember seeing my lovely Lisbon on the screen, in a movie, before, so it was a great experience. Great cast, great story, so I totally recommend this one!
If you are not familiar with what happened in Porty land in the 70's, here's a good opportunity.

Hello December!!

It's unbelievable how fast this year is flying by....
November is over, December is back together with its adorable Christmas lights and decorations, spread all over the city.

But December will also bring final Dutch exam so, I think this will fit my December mode, pretty well:
